Why we love allegory: A collection of children’s books

The story of how a boy and a girl find love in the classic children’s book The Tale of the Painted Man by Lewis Carroll and Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Mumford.

The Tale of Painted Men by Lewis Curry and Alice In Wonderland by James Joyce.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Hucklebee Finn.

The Little Mermaid by Ariel and the King by Ariel.

And so on.

These books are classic, timeless works of literature, the works of a generation that grew up on the stories of these stories and those stories are still in our children’s world today.

We love them because they are timeless.

They are timeless because they tell stories that are timeless, they are classics.

They tell stories of love, of friendship, of laughter, of wonder.

And they tell tales of love that are not just beautiful but also relatable and meaningful and human.

I am so grateful to the children’s publishers who have worked so hard to create these books, because these books are so beautiful and so timeless and so human and so much more.

And I am so thankful to the parents who have loved these books and are now reading these books.
